Who we are

At the Good Food Collective, we believe everyone deserves access to nourishing, wholesome food. We are a coalition of brands, organizations, and experts united in our mission to create a healthier future by driving transparency, higher standards and empowering people to make informed, conscious food choices at the grocery store.

We are dedicated to bringing more transparency to the food industry— from production and labeling to packaging— so consumers have knowledge they need to choose products which align with their values and lifestyles. By working together, we can drive positive change. Through our collective efforts, we aim to rebuild consumer trust and advocate for a healthier, more sustainable future for generations to come.

What we do

Front of Pack Nutrition Labeling

Influence and advocate for the implantation of mandatory front-of-pack nutrition labeling in the United States to ensure new regulations benefit consumers and the food industry.

Packaging Transparency

Bring more transparency to packaging imagery and messaging, not currently regulated by the FDA, to ensure food companies can’t misrepresent the contents of their products.

Ban Unsafe Ingredients

Work towards removing unsafe ingredients, including harmful chemicals and additives, from our food supply.

We are committed to:

  • Always supporting:

    - food companies who commit to real food always being the primary ingredient

    - being transparent about ingredients in products

    - using truthful messaging and imagery

    - making it easy to understand what is in and not in products

    - empowering consumers with knowledge to make healthy choices

  • Never supporting:

    - using deceptive imagery on packaging

    - using cleanwashing, greenwashing or misleading messaging on packaging or in advertising

    - limiting information helpful to consumers decision making

    - marketing unhealthy products to kids

    - using artificial and synthetic additives or ingredients such as dyes, flavors or sweeteners

We all deserve to have a chance to eat better than the options we had growing up. And the food industry should be working to help, not hinder.
